Equity

  • Diversify our District Boards & Commissions by adding Black, Brown, & LGBTQ Neighbors.

  • Make sure ALL of our District communication to our neighbors is Bilingual.

  • Keep neighbors engaged with communication from our District office. ( Newsletters, Social Media, Emails)

  • Open door policy to our District Office.

Healthcare and Quality of Life

  • Encourage our neighbors to start neighborhood associations.

  • Create family friendly events throughout the District.

  • Identify the parks that need renovation. While also working with neighbors to see what areas need a park or a green space area.

  • Promote Health Care educational programs for our neighbors.

  • Promote after school programs with meals for children that need extra help after school.

  • Actively engage community members on Dallas City Policies and programs to enhance their quality of life.

  • Have an open door policy for community members

  • Partner with various non profit organizations to bring resources to our District 3. (Health, after school programs, financial, and educational)

Arts & Culture

  • Bringing Arts & Culture to our community and encouraging Black & Brown & LGBTQ artists to showcase talent.

  • Highlight talented artists in our District by having various arts festivals throughout our District.

  • Encouraging our schools throughout the District to highlight student artists.

  • Promote Cultural events to highlight diversity through our District with food, music, and dance.

Housing & Development 

  • No warehouse construction next door to existing or future neighborhoods.

  • Promote homeownership throughout the district especially for black and brown renters

  • Partner with nonprofits to add more support for unhoused neighbors to stay housed 

  • Promote permanent supportive housing to help place the unhoused in the right housing

Economic Development 

  • Promote & help advance Black & Brown Business owners to start or grow their business.

  • Partner with non profit organizations to help start their business for Black & Brown Women business owners.

  • Create 2nd Chance Programs for small business owners 

  • NO more fast food food establishments and encourage our Black & Brown neighbors to open higher end food establishments.

  • Promote business development while protecting green space.

  • Protect neighbors from Short Term Rentals
